Noch bevor die Bl\u00e4tter erscheinen, erbl\u00fcht er in einem Meer von gro\u00dfen, tulpenartigen Bl\u00fcten in Wei\u00df, Rosa oder Violett. Wundersch\u00f6n anzusehen und - \u00fcberraschenderweise - auch essbar. Aus den Bl\u00fctenbl\u00e4ttern l\u00e4sst sich ein k\u00f6stlicher Sirup herstellen, aber auch Essig ist m\u00f6glich. Ein blumiges Gew\u00fcrz f\u00fcr den Salat oder \u00fcber gegrilltes Gem\u00fcse. Pilzexpertin Katja Wezel von <em>wilderlust.nl<\/em> zeigt, wie Sie Ihren eigenen Magnolienessig herstellen k\u00f6nnen, einfach mit dem, was Sie drau\u00dfen am Baum finden.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Also ja, Magnolien sind essbar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bevor wir mit dem Rezept beginnen, noch ein Wort zur Magnolie selbst. Denn was ist das \u00fcberhaupt f\u00fcr ein Baum und wann kann man die Bl\u00fcten pfl\u00fccken? Magnolien sind echte Fr\u00fchlingsstars. Die meisten Sorten bl\u00fchen zwischen Ende M\u00e4rz und (sp\u00e4testens) Mai, noch bevor die Bl\u00e4tter erscheinen. Und manchmal, wenn man Gl\u00fcck hat, folgt im September eine zweite Bl\u00fcte. In niederl\u00e4ndischen G\u00e4rten sieht man vor allem den Biberbaum (<em>Magnolia \u00d7 soulangeana<\/em>) und die Sternmagnolie (<em>Magnolia stellata<\/em>). Beide sind essbar! Die Bl\u00fctenbl\u00e4tter haben einen subtilen, frischen Geschmack - ein wenig zitrusartig, manchmal sogar mit einem Hauch von Ingwer. Man kann sie roh essen oder sie in Sirup, Tee oder, wie hier, in Essig verwenden. Da sie reich an Antioxidantien und \u00e4therischen \u00d6len sind, werden sie seit Jahrhunderten in der Kr\u00e4utermedizin verwendet.
