We all know them: those enviable interior pictures on Insta, where bloggers and stylists effortlessly transform the most beautiful recycled finds and street pearls into unique, sustainable and affordable interiors. I am often less successful. Grrr. Too much supply, too little time and doubt whether it will fit in your home. MOOD4GOOD has found a solution: an app that lets you buy and sell second-hand, vintage and refurbished furniture and accessories, as well as create mood boards with the current offer. So you can create your own Insta-fabulous vintage interior in no time. All done by yourself!
Help finding the best second-hand interior finds
In collaboration with MOOD4GOOD
Super fun: MOOD4GOOD is a Dutch entrepreneurial story by Jeanne, an IT worker with a thrift heart from IJsselstein. She came up with the idea of bringing vintage shopping and interior styling together in one app. The idea is simple but brilliant (even if we say so ourselves). You can buy, sell and combine second-hand furniture and accessories in your own mood boards. So you can immediately see if that thrift store vase matches with your closet or wall. The app is uncluttered, with no ads or bids, and acts as a kind of creative playground where you get inspiration from the community. As all products are displayed free-standing, you can endlessly slide and styling. The best part? You give existing stuff a second life!

The app MOOD4GOOD helps you get started on furnishing your home, but entirely with second-hand interior items offered for sale through the app.
This is how MOOD4GOOD works
Here's how it works: download the Mood4Good app, create your profile in a few clicks and you can get started right away. Browse through art, cupboards, accessories and lamps, view mood boards created by others and save your favourite finds. Do you have something beautiful of your own or have you refurbished an item? Put it up for sale with a photo and some info and before you know it, it will have a new home. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned thrift shop hunter, the app is full of vintage gems that will add character to your interiors in an instant.

Twelve billion pieces of furniture?!
CBS has calculated that there must be 12 billion kilos of furniture in circulation in the Netherlands. That does not include chairs and sofas, as these count as a separate category. Think of everything we have in homes, warehouses, businesses and shops in the Netherlands. That's quite a lot, but 12 billion kilos is also good news. Much of the furniture we need is simply already there!
