Kek<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Looking for a cosy caf\u00e9 where you can also buy an original gift right away? Then go to Kek<\/a>! This place is very popular, so chances are you might have to wait a while. But it's definitely worth it. Not only do they have great coffee here, but also delicious cakes and an extensive lunch menu. Many dishes are vegetarian or vegan. For instance, the Asian tempeh sandwich is highly recommended! Prefer a salad, soup or smoothie bowl? Everything is possible! That makes it hard to choose of course, haha. Also fun: this caf\u00e9 is not only filled with unusual vintage furniture. You can also buy really original gifts from (local) designers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caf\u00e9-brasserie Husz\u00e1r<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The name of this restaurant comes from the artist of the stained glass, Vilmos Husz\u00e1r. And extra cool: this historic building - it used to be the office of a metal company - also has plenty of art to admire. Every two months there is a different art exhibition! On sunny days you can relax on the terrace of Husz\u00e1r<\/a> sitting by the Schie. Is it chilly or rainy? No problem, you can also find a nice spot inside! And then to the food: a packed menu with seasonal produce, including organic where possible. And lots of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Will you go for the corn soup, the vegetarian paella or the puffed celeriac carpaccio sandwich? For (young) children there is a play corner, you can choose a nice book in the bookcase or have a fun board game together. In short: definitely worth a visit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At The Botany<\/a> you step into a Delft plant kingdom of your own. And we may need to explain: there are not just plenty of (indoor) plants here, plants are also incorporated into the drinks and food. Do you dare to enjoy experimental combinations and flavours? Think cocktails with banana, coconut water, plums or tonka bean. Tacos with deep-fried artichoke hearts or leeks, or marinated pointed peppers. Or breakfast with homemade focaccias. Then this is the place for you! Share the dishes with each other so everyone can feast on the unique flavours. New dishes and drinks are regularly added to the menu, as they keep experimenting at De Botanie. Tip: when the weather is nice, enter the historic city garden. An oasis of calm, lovely!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But not only that, you can also feast on deep-fried cauliflower with tahini, dolma, flatbread pizza and much more! HUmmUS<\/a> puts Middle Eastern food in a fresh, vegetarian jacket and serves organic vegetables. This place is all about enjoying the food together. So order several dishes and share them with your dining companions. Are you alone? Lucky you, your plate is all yours! Don't forget to leave a spot in your stomach for a tasty dessert. Our favourite? The Mousse au chocolat or Muhallebi, a fresh pudding made of rice flour, pistachio and rosewater.

Student in Delft? Or do you have an appointment at TU Delft and want to stay for lunch afterwards? Then it is definitely a must to stop by the Faculty Club<\/a> pop by. Or maybe you'll stay all day afterwards: because everything on this menu looks delicious! TU Delft has used the Eat-Lancet Method as a guideline for the food. This means that the menu at the Faculty Club is vegetarian by default! At lunch, for example, you can have an Italian roll with tofu and cashew mayo. And for dinner, opt for puffed kohlrabi and grilled fennel & yellow beetroot. For dessert, don't miss the cheese platter from La Fauxmagerie (the UK's first plant-based cheese shop). At Flow food bar<\/a> you can drop by for breakfast, lunch, dinner and basically everything in between. So no matter what time of day you are there, you can always relax and enjoy a nice cup of coffee, a healthy smoothie or an (alcohol-free) beer. The crammed menu changes seasonally, ideal for anyone who likes to have lots of choices. And who says \u2018no\u2019 to american pancakes, a kimchi toast or oyster mushroom croquettes? All dishes are vegetarian, many are vegan and everything is made with lots of love and pure ingredients from local suppliers. We are fans. Right in the centre of Delft you will find \u2019t Post Office<\/a>. And you guessed it: this indeed used to be Delft's post office. You can even reserve the room where mail used to be sorted for a dinner or birthday party. Nice! What is also nice: the cosy interior and the menu. This is a combination of French, Oriental and Dutch cuisine. Then you get, for example, a bruschetta Asian caprese, flatbread with escab\u00e8che of kohlrabi or a smoothie of mango, kefir, lime, honey and cardamom. In the evening, you can enjoy, for example, a beetroot burger or roasted miso pointed cabbage. Or opt for a dinner for two with several vegetarian dishes. Yummy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This cheerful and colourful restaurant can be found in the centre of Delft and is the place to relax with a drink and a bite to eat. HANNO's menu is not on the website and remains a surprise. Because just like travelling, you don't always know what to expect. But one thing is certain: the dishes come from all over the world and are absolutely worthwhile. On the corner of Oude Kerkstraat and Oude Delft, right next to the canal, you will find Cozy Delft<\/a>. A cosy little place where you can especially enjoy Brazilian dishes, courtesy of the roots<\/em> of the owners. And what should you think of when you think of Brazilian cuisine? How about brioche sandwiches with egg, Brazilian cheese balls (P\u00e3o de Queijo) or sourdough bread with avocado. Many dishes can be made vegan and there are also gluten-free options. Cosy Delft is open every day of the week, except Wednesdays. A fine place to enjoy delicious and sustainable food!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Leffers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Fair is fair: this is not a restaurant, so doesn't really belong in this list. But at Mr Leffers<\/a> they have the most delicious sourdough bread in Delft, so it actually just belongs here. The bread is made from locally grown grain ground into flour, water and salt. That's it! They make fresh sandwiches for lunch every day and focaccia on Fridays. You can also buy delicious (Swedish) cinnamon and cardamom rolls or other sweet treats here. Nice to take home, or eat on a bench along the waterfront. And if you really like walking, you can go for a picnic in Delftse Hout! That is a beautiful nature reserve just under half an hour's walk away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
