Add a generous splash of white natural vinegar and the same amount of water to the caked pan. Bring to the boil and simmer for 8 minutes. Use a lid if necessary. Make sure it does not boil dry.
Remove the pan from the heat and dry thoroughly.
Put a generous amount of baking soda in the pan and gently scrub the pan with a soft sponge. Do this dry, without water. Make gentle, circular movements.
Keep scrubbing until the pan is clean.
Is it not completely clean? Keep repeating this cleaning trick every day. You will see that a layer keeps coming off and eventually the pan will be shiny clean.
