The tastiest applesauce is not bought ready-made, but made by yourself! In less than ten minutes you can make a good amount of applesauce that you can then eat for days - or weeks if you freeze it. And this is the recipe!
Peel the apples, remove the core and cut the apples into pieces.
Put the piece of apple and the water in a pan.
Bring the apples to the boil with a lid on the pan. Cook the apples until soft in 5-10 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool slightly.
If you want chunky apple sauce, mash the apple with a fork, there will still be some small pieces of apple to taste. If you want a smooth applesauce, use a hand blender.
Store the applesauce in a sealed preserving jar or storage box in the fridge (about 4 to 5 days) or in the freezer (up to 3 months).
