Christmas DIY: making a Christmas angel from scrap paper
This DIY is a real everyman's friend. You only need a few materials and you can vary endlessly with colour, paper and size. Go for old music paper for a classic look, or use pages from a colouring book for a cheerful look. And the best part? Each angel will be different. Make a few in different sizes and hang them together for a festive group of paper guardian angels.

Fold a sheet of A4 paper into a harmonica. Make folds about 1 cm wide across the long side.
Fold this harmonica in half and glue the halves together. This will be the body of the angel.
Cut a second A4 sheet in half (width-wise).
Fold one of the halves into a harmonica again, this time across the short side.
Fold this harmonica in half and not in the middle. This will keep all the layers together well.
Glue the small harmonica (the wings) on top of the large one (the dress).
Make a loop of string. Fold it in half and glue the ends into the hole of the wooden bead with the glue gun.
Stick the bead on top of the dress. And voilĂ : your angel is ready to hang!
