Zero waste recipe: make your own lip balm
You can make your own lip balm very well and it is super fun to do, because you can vary endlessly both in colour and flavour. Ever thought of nutella or elderflower flavoured lip balm?
Tools
- glass jar for preparation
- small jar, can or old lip balm stick
- (saucepan
- spatula or spoon
Materials
- 1 fluorescent beeswax
- 4 fluorescent sunflower oil or another vegetable oil
Instructions
- Put beeswax and sunflower oil in a small glass jar and put it in a pan with a splash of water on the fire.
- Stir the mixture until melted (add flavouring and colouring, if necessary), then pour into and small jar, tin or old lip balm stick.
- Leave to cool completely before use.
