So a large proportion of these products no longer make it to the (digital) shop floor. Silly, of course, but for many (web) shops, the cost of rechecking, repackaging and returning products is simply too high. The result? Perfectly usable items disappear into storage or are even written off, i.e. destroyed. Gijs Hamersteen saw how often this happened at his previous employer, which gave him the idea to this webshop with second-hand goods to start. Their mission? Turning returns into opportunities!

What makes Sustainable Deals different?
A webshop that rescues returned products and re-launches them is, of course, something we at thegreenlist.nl only welcome. But Sustainable Deals goes a step further and web shop owners can also gain a lot from this. They also offer (web) shops valuable insights by mapping return reasons. This allows companies to improve their products and processes, which - hopefully - results in fewer returns, more satisfied customers and ultimately a cleaner planet. Yihaa.
