Collecting deposits at home: 5 handy tips!

At home, you collect - hopefully - a lot of deposit bottles and cans. And that is just as well, because for every litre bottle you receive 25 cents in deposit, every can or small bottle yields 15 cents and for a glass (beer) bottle you receive 10 cents. But how do you collect that deposit at home somewhat conveniently? You don't want that collection to take up too much space or become a mess. We have handy tips for collecting deposits at home. A great shame, because plastic, glass and aluminium can all be recycled very often and to a high quality - and in the case of glass: even simply reused. This eliminates the need to extract new raw materials from the earth, depletes the earth less and also leaves enough for future generations. So come on, get on with that recycling routine and hand in your deposit at the many drop-in points. In this article, in collaboration with Statiegeld Nederland, we share some handy tips on how to collect it better, cleaner and more efficiently at home.

Where do you collect your deposits? Because whether you have a spacious shed or garage where you can store - read: hide away - some of it makes a big difference compared to a small home where you might have to collect everything in plain sight in the kitchen or in on the balcony.
