In Hoenderloo, which is in the middle of the Veluwe, near Ede and Apeldoorn, you will find amazing nature cottages - correction: suites - where you will lack nothing. Or well, hopefully that work laptop will stay at home and your phone will stay on aeroplane mode. Because this is where you come for a nature and wellness experience. We slept in a Cuber Suite. Conclusion: 100% holiday feeling, but nice and close to home.
That ultimate squeeze-me-just-that-we're-here feeling
We slept one night in a Cuber Suite on the Veluwe and immediately had that ultimate squeeze-me-just-that-we're-here feeling. So much nature around you, so green and what a lovely cottage! The Cuber Suites are designed so that nature literally comes inside: meters-high windows, a sliding door that opens all the way and a smart layout that keeps you in touch with the outside everywhere. That sliding door runs the entire width of your suite and connects indoors with outdoors in such a way that even inside you still feel like you are in the woods. The location is beautiful: between nature reserves such as De Hoge Veluwe and Veluwezoom, where you can walk straight onto the heath.
Our experience in a Cuber Suites
More pluses? Yes indeed! You will sleep like a rose on the extra wide bed with a lovely mattress (we did, otherwise), the barrel sauna with panoramic view we had at our cottage (some cottages have a sauna or hot tub) AND the shower with glass ceiling, so you shower under the stars or clouds. Everything is cleverly thought out. With an app on your phone you control everything: the light, the temperature, the doors and even your breakfast or massage.

Getaway on the Veluwe
By booking a stay at Cuber Suites, the Veluwe is at your feet. Literally. De Hoge Veluwe National Park is just around the corner; you can step straight into the park on a white bike. Who knows, like us, you might spot a stray red deer or wild boar. Feel like a little more excitement? Then you can be in Apeldoorn in fifteen minutes.
