Green Like: a streaming service with sustainable documentaries and master classes

So many streaming services, and yet that feeling like there's nothing good on. Recognisable? We felt that too. Until we came across Green Pleasea Dutch streaming service full of documentaries and programmes about more sustainable and conscious living. You'll find short documentaries that you can watch in between other things, as well as masterclasses and kitchen table sessions where you can learn new things.

Cool sustainable documentaries and more!

The idea for Green Please comes from founder Lisanne Moreau. She noticed the same as many of us: there are now quite a few places where you can find inspiration for a greener life. Think of sustainable communities such as thegreenlist.nl, magazines such as Enough, sustainable clothing shops and eco-webshops. But a streaming service with only documentaries and programmes about conscious and simple living? That was still missing. That's why she started Green Pleasean online platform where documentaries, series and masterclasses come together around themes such as slow living, simplicity, living and sustainability.

Groen Graag is an online platform and app where you can watch documentaries, but also follow masterclasses and kitchen table sessions (in Dutch). You can log in on a computer or download the app to watch on your mobile (or to cast to your TV). It basically works exactly the same as you're used to with streaming, but this is a service where all content is curated through a green lens.

How does the sustainable streaming service Groen Graag work?

It actually works just as simply as any other streaming service. You log in online and watch a documentary, masterclass, or kitchen table session via your desktop or laptop. Prefer to use your phone? Then simply download the app. And from there, you can of course also cast to your TV, so you can watch comfortably from the sofa. Handy if you want to watch a documentary, but also if you want to follow a masterclass step-by-step, for example.

Once you start browsing, you'll quickly come across some great titles. A few favourites: A Hippie's Diary, a calm docuseries about a life with fewer possessions and more nature. Living Sustainably in the City, with practical ideas for greener living right in the city. It’s also great that there are many shorter documentaries, around twenty to thirty minutes long. Perfect for an evening when you want to watch something, but don’t fancy an hour-and-a-half-long documentary. And if you fancy something lighter: the kitchen table session where founder Lisanne shows you how to make her favourite fresh pasta. A simple recipe, told in a friendly way, and it spontaneously makes you want to dive into the kitchen yourself.

Try Groen Graag too (seven days free!)

Curious? For fifty euros a year, you get access to the entire platform. That works out at just over four euros a month. Still not convinced? You can Green Please Try it free for the first seven days. There’s a good chance you’ll have a few new ideas for doing things a little differently at home afterwards. Take a quick look now!
