Sustainable cleaning: think of people and the environment!
In partnership with CSU
Many people think of sustainable cleaning in terms of using less harmful cleaning agents, but CSU shows that more sustainable cleaning in the professional services goes much further than that. Indeed, choosing better and more environmentally friendly cleaning products is only a small green switch that you can make as a company. The real sustainable hits can be made by companies in other areas of their operations - read cleaning operations. To help companies make their cleaning processes more sustainable, cleaning company CSU has developed a Green & Social Impact dashboard. This offers companies a complete insight into both the environmental and social impact of their cleaning activities. This makes sustainability concrete and measurable, and allows companies to take real steps towards a cleaner future - funny pun.

Environmental impact: cleaning products not the climate killer
The dashboard measures various factors that contribute to the cleaning service's carbon footprint. Examples include the commuting of cleaners, the use of cleaning agents and materials, the electricity consumption of machines and even the transport kilometres of cleaning products. By accurately measuring these aspects, companies can see exactly where in the cleaning process they are making the biggest environmental impact and where they can make improvements. For example, did you know that employee commuting accounts on average for 45% of total environmental impact?
How happy is the cleaning staff?
Besides the environment, CSU also looks at the people behind the work. Among other things, the dashboard also measures how many employees attend training, their health, how they feel and how satisfied they are in their jobs. Companies thus gain insight into the well-being of cleaners working for them, and CSU also offers a fresh-to-work programme to increase job satisfaction and further develop talents. Not for nothing does the company have Top Employer certification and the title ‘Great place to work’. By also looking at these aspects, CSU promotes a safe, inclusive and healthy working environment, which is equally important for a more sustainable future.
Sustainable cleaning starts with choosing a pleasant cleaning company
Thanks to this dashboard, CSU helps companies not only make their cleaning processes more sustainable, but also make broader strategic choices when it comes to people and the environment. This includes much more than just choosing eco-friendly cleaning products. So are you responsible for office maintenance or do you work in facility services? Then take a look at the CSU website and do the impact scan online to discover how you too can make a difference with the office cleaning.
