Vegan restaurant Bonboon experience.

Restaurant Bonboon: a vegan gem in the Jordaan district

Fine vegan dining with a capital F (or V), that's Bonboon. This restaurant undoubtedly deserves a place on your greener Amsterdam list. Located in the heart of the Jordaan, on the picturesque Rozenstraat, here you dine vegan in a beautiful setting. Think cornices along the ceiling, colourful art and atmospheric photography on the walls, and a bar that looks straight out of a classic Hollywood film. The seasonal menu changes every two months, and for foodies there is a matching wine pairing. Prefer alcohol-free? No problem! Then go for the chic tea pairing. In short, at restaurant Bonboon, you will have a special culinary experience. We will gladly tell you more about it!

Bonboon: vegan fine dining in Amsterdam

We paid a visit to Bonboon. Wowie. This beautiful restaurant, with an interior as tasteful as its dishes - we will come to that in a moment - is suitable for any occasion. Whether you have something to celebrate or spontaneously want to settle down for a drink after a day strolling through the 9 Streets or Noordermarkt, restaurant Bonboon offers a warm welcome. A word about the menu. No big menu, but three-, four- or five-course dishes selected with care for you. Everything is gluten-free, nut-free and, of course, vegan. What can you expect? Think dishes like roasted beetroot with cashew cream, confit Jerusalem artichoke with a coffee-mushroom glaze or pumpkin gnocchi with palm cabbage and black garlic butter. Will this give you a taste? The menu changes every two months with the seasons. In short, an extra reason to come back more often.

Bonboon is located in beautiful design hotel Mercier, a true treasure trove for art lovers. The art and photography collection including handmade wall hangings by fashion designer Claes Iversen are real eye-catchers. The hotel breathes history, as the authentic elements of the monumental building have been carefully preserved. In short, a picture-perfect overall picture, a real vegan gem in the heart of Amsterdam, that is.

Will you also come and taste and feast your eyes at Bonboon restaurant?

Bonboon is Daphne Althoff's restaurant. She wants to show that good food and drink can very well be done without animal products. Together with her team, she creates an experience that not only tastes delicious, but also feels good. Whether you are a seasoned vegan or just curious about plant-based cuisine, you will always feel welcome at Bonboon.
