Earlier we tipped Earth Line, fine skincare with vitamin E for everyone. From the same Dutch manufacturer also comes Sea Line, natural and certified skin care based on Dead Sea salt. This line is specially developed for people with sensitive skin, such as psoriasis, eczema, acne or red, chapped, rough and dry skin. Because everyone has periods when their skin needs some extra care, we would like to tell you more about it.
Sea Line: natural skin care with Dead Sea salt
In cooperation with Sea Line
If you have sensitive skin, the ingredients of your skincare are even more important. Ouch, certain substances can irritate the skin even more. And before you know it, you are standing in front of the shelf with vague health claims and little jars that promise miracles ánd cost the world - literally and figuratively. Fortunately, a better choice for sensitive skin does not have to be so complicated. At least, if you follow our tip: Sea Line, skincare made from natural ingredients with Dead Sea minerals as the green thread (we'll get to that in a minute). This is right up your green alley: all products are certified with good labels such as the Cosmos Natural label (BDIH), ICADA seal of approval, and the Vegan mark of The Vegan Society. Everything is microplastic-free and proudly bears the ‘zero plastic inside’ logo. In short, we are cheering.
Moreover, the Dutch company behind Sea Line (Frenchtop from North Holland) produces in the Netherlands, using green energy - namely Dutch wind. How sustainable and local do you want it?
And perhaps the best news? Sea Line is also ‘just’ available at the better drugstores, such as Holland & Barrett and Etos. So this natural skincare is both within reach and affordable.
More sustainable skin care for skin problems
The Dead Sea has been visited by people with skin problems for thousands of years. The unprocessed salt from this sea contains a high concentration of magnesium and sodium, which has a pleasant and positive effect on the body and skin. You will find salt from the Dead Sea in all Sea Line products, which are specially developed for sensitive skin. They have three lines:
- Sensitive: suitable for sensitive skin, think redness, tightness, flaky patches and dry skin. These skincare products help rebalance the skin.
- Therapy: designed for skin types that need extra support, such as for psoriasis, eczema, or red, chapped, rough and dehydrated skin.
- Acno: especially for acne care, helps with pimples and blackheads and supports skin repair.

Sea Line's natural skincare is specially developed for people with sensitive skin or skin problems. All products contain minerals from the Dead Sea and have good labels for natural cosmetics.
Sea Line helps with skin problems
With eleven products, Sea Line offers a solution for many skin problems. For instance, the Sea Line Mineral Face Wash deeply cleanses and soothes (very) sensitive skin. Do you suffer from a sensitive scalp? Then the anti-dandruff shampoo with Dead Sea salt, restorative oils and herbs is ideal. For a pampering moment, Sea Line also offers the Sea Line Black Mud face mask and body wrap. There is also the Sea Line Mineral Day & Night Cream. This cream contains herbal extracts, vitamins, organic oils and Dead Sea minerals, providing nourishment and protection for very dry skin. For those who suffer from acne or pimples, there is a special day and night cream and a repair spot treatment. This spot treatment cream is skin-coloured, how nice is that. And perhaps the best part? All Sea Line products are handmade in the Netherlands. Fine, we like that at thegreenlist.nl.
Natural care versus sustainable care
There is often confusion between ‘natural’ and ‘sustainable’. It is therefore useful to know the difference between ‘natural’ and ‘sustainable’ skincare, so you can make a better choice on the shelf for your skin as well as the planet. Natural care means that the ingredients are of natural origin, but this says nothing about the sustainability of the production process or the environmental impact. A natural ingredient can still be harmful to the planet, for instance because it requires intensive farming or because a lot of pesticides have been used. An ingredient might be ‘natural’, but certainly not sustainable. If you think it is important to make a more sustainable choice with your skincare, you should pay attention to other things such as natural ingredients of organic origin, reliable labels and also how (and where and by whom) the product is made. Sea Line: sustainable and locally produced
Not only in the choice of ingredients and during the production process in the Netherlands, but also in the packaging choices Sea Line is making more conscious choices. Take the tubes, for instance, which are made of bio-based plastic from sugar cane. And the boxes' use of FSC-certified paper comes from sustainably managed forests. In short, with Sea Line you choose sustainable skincare that is good for your skin and the environment. Take a look at their website!
