Bison Foundation
Bison Foundation is not just another recycling shop, this is a place for people who want to roll up their sleeves. What does that mean? That at Bizon, you can not only find great stuff for your home, but Bizon employees also gain skills in order to return to the labour market. Win-win! The cycle shop is open every weekday and Saturday. You can find toys and games, clothes and (refurbished) furniture here. Stop by for the warm feeling of Bison. And who knows, you might go home with a cupboard refurbished in the workshop by the employees themselves!

Emmaus Gouda Foundation
Emmaus sells everything from watches and televisions to winter coats and yarn. As a follower of thegreenlist.nl Of course, there is no need to tell you that by making purchases at a thrift shop, you are contributing to a better environment. But at Emmaus do more: with the proceeds from the sale of items, they support many organisations. Think Nationale Vereniging de Zonnebloem or the Inloophuis in Gouda, as well as projects in Bosnia and Peru. Does this sound like something for you already? Then come round Emmaus in Gouda on Thursday and Friday afternoons or Saturday!

Kringloop Gouda & Kinderkringloop
Not one, but two large shops with a total of 5,500 m2 of shopping fun. If you still can't find something nice, we don't know what else to do. At Kringloop Gouda & Kinderkringloop all items brought in are selected and displayed by volunteers. You will find an extensive collection of (children's) toys and children's clothes. Ideal if you have little ones at home! But you can also do without children. Discover gems in the crockery cupboards, Christmas decorations or fun books. All proceeds from the two shops are donated to the Child Poverty Foundation.

Studio Kiewie
The place for second-hand children's clothes in sizes 40 to 152! Studio Kiewie was founded by Foske Douze, a mother of three from Gouda. After a career as a stylist in the television and film world, she decided: this has to change, I am going to use my expertise to make the fashion world just that little bit more sustainable. Thanks to her years of experience, Foske has an eye for the best gems. So you can find the best and coolest vintage and second-hand children's clothes in her shop. Would you like to hand in your own children's clothes? Then you get 40 per cent of the sale price. And of course you can pick something new for your (grand)children right away!

We already tipped GOUDasfalt as a place to have a drink or a bite to eat, but you can do much more there. For example, every Sunday afternoon shopping at Act Clumsy! You'll find this little vintage fashion shop at the back of the GOUDasfalt site in the blue shed. Fan of the 80s or 90s? Or do you need something special for a party? Then you can probably score something nice here! And can't make it on Sunday afternoon? Then just send a message to drop by at another time!

Woppies Treasures
Do you get excited by little cute shops? Where you can look for the most beautiful finds? Then be sure to take a look at Woppies Treasures. Open from Tuesday to Saturday. You will find antiques, books, bric-a-brac, second-hand toys, vintage and all kinds of home furnishings. The latest finds are shared on the Facebook page of Woppies Treasures. Small warning: it can be a bit cramped.

Looking for vintage home accessories and stylish jewellery? Then you couldn't be happier at Base Elf! Owner Esméé started with a small vintage webshop full of the most beautiful finds and now shares premises in Gouda city centre with other entrepreneurs. Part of the collection can be admired online, but if you want to see everything, we definitely recommend visiting the shop. You can also take a look at the other entrepreneurs right away! Planning a dinner party or photo shoot soon that could use some special home accessories? If so, you can also rent them at Base Elf. Ideal!

The place for the coolest vintage clothes! Maybe you have already visited the branches in The Hague or Rotterdam, but you will also find this hip shop in the centre of Gouda. Especially if you like to follow social media trends, this is the place to go for the best gems. Only closed on Sundays, so plenty of opportunity for you to drop by and score an original second-hand outfit for a party, or just for work.
