We get at thegreenlist.nl regular reader questions about packaging-free shopping. Fabric bags and glass (preserving) jars go a long way in the market, but fabric is not a suitable packaging material for some products and a jar does not always fit. What then? We have discovered a nice solution: Good'Wrap. This is a clever silicone food wrap that you can reuse again and again.
What exactly is Good'Wrap?
In collaboration with water bottle shop.nl
Good'Wrap is a reusable silicone wrap that moulds itself to the product you wrap with it. It looks a bit like flexible wrapping paper or a sturdy film that does stick well. So you put the product - e.g. a piece of cheese or a piece of vegetable - on an expanded wrap and wrap it with it. Self-adhesive, so no rubber bands or clips. Good'Wrap is made of 100% food-safe, certified silicone. That means it is safe to come into direct contact with food, even at varying temperatures. You use it just as easily in the fridge, freezer, oven or microwave. The wraps can handle temperatures from -60 to +220 degrees Celsius. And cleaning? Just put them in the dishwasher. Super easy!
Each set contains three large wraps measuring 45 by 29 centimetres. A fine size that allows you to seal sandwiches, fruit, vegetables, trays and leftovers airtight, without plastic or aluminium foil.

That's how handy these reusable food containers from Good'Wrap are!
Safe silicone material
Many plastic containers are now not recommended for recycling, especially if they are heated, put in the dishwasher or scratched. Microplastics and hormone-disrupting substances that you would rather not have in your food can then be released. Silicone is a safer and more sustainable alternative that also lasts longer.
Good'Wrap: for a clean fridge
At thegreenlist.nl we like products that make multiple sustainable choices easier at once. Good'Wrap totally fits that category: you avoid disposable plastic, store food better and waste less. Good'Wrap is available at Waterflessenwinkel.nl. This shop specialises in water bottles and drinking bottles - yay - but they also have a wide range for a zero waste household. From lunch boxes to sustainable straws, and so also these handy food wraps. As far as we are concerned, a golden tip for anyone who wants less packaging waste and loves clever kitchen hacks.
