Amsterdam's 9 streets is perhaps the most beautiful part of Amsterdam where you can stroll and shop sustainably. Will you be there soon and have a big appetite? Then get a happy vegan burger at Flower Burger.
Flower Burger
A red ladybug burger, a bright green jungle bbq burger or a classic purple flower burger: you can hardly walk past the tiny burger joint on Hartenstraat. When have you ever seen burgers with buns in rainbow colours? The colour of the buns comes from vegetable dyes such as beetroot, cherries and turmeric. Pretty is one thing, but much more important, of course, is the taste of these vegan burgers. Ojojoj... Which is goo-hoo-d I can give away in advance. And that is why this vegan fast food restaurant absolutely belongs in the list of thegreenlist.nl. Sustainable and cheerful, we love it!
Rainbow citizen
I immediately fall for the classic purple flower burger that bears the same name as the vegan restaurant after a brisk walk around town. According to the lady working at the restaurant, this is an excellent choice. It is not their most popular burger for nothing. The burger on this bun is made of seitan and red beans, this fine flavour and texture is loved by regular customers. It sounds good. I'm hungry, so I make it a menu and order spicy potatoes and a soft drink to go with it. The richly filled bun, the solid bite of the burger, the explosion of flavour that follows: this vegan burger is ‘just fatty delicious’ as we like to say in Amsterdam.

Vegan burgers from Italy
Flower burger is an Italian fast food concept. The founders are determined to conquer the world with their cheerful concept. They have a number of branches in Europe including in London, Marseille and Milan. OK, I have to be honest with you: this is not the place to go for a cosy long dinner, but for a short stop or a takeaway, it is an absolute vegan dining tip. And the prices? For less than 15 euros, you can have an entire menu!
Flower Burger is located in the jordaan (Hartenstraat 29H). See more about this restaurant.
