Thegreenlist.nl is the lifestyle magazine and largest social community for everyone who wants to live greener. With an emphasis on greenER, because we want to entice everyone to join us.
At thegreenlist.nl we have a mission: we want to show that living more sustainably is both important and fun, that you can still have just as many adventures and live well. To this end, we curate the best ideas every day. And we take a look at the whole lifestyle: fashion, food, holidays, restaurants, beauty, the household, the kids and much more. We are averse to finger-pointing and the not-doing-it-good-enough mentality. With us, everyone can participate: dark green, light green and not yet green at all. As tastemakers in sustainable Netherlands, we bring together the best: original ideas, useful tips and surprising solutions. Our goal? To show everyone that living greener not only feels good, but is also great fun! We do this through this website, the socials, (e)books, newsletter, podcast and by collaborating with inspiring brands and charities.
How it began
At thegreenlist.nl we believe that every sustainable step counts, big or small. In 2020, Saskia Sampimon-Versneij started this platform as a journalistic project to share her quest for a more sustainable life. It has since grown into the Netherlands' leading sustainable inspiration magazine, supported by an enthusiastic team that inspires people daily to make more sustainable choices. Together, we bring sustainability to life, always with a touch of personal experience.
So through our own channels, we reach a lot of people every day, but we also regularly appear in other media, such as at RTL 4's TV programmes Koffietijd and Eigen Huis & Tuin: Lekker Leven. In addition, Saskia writes a regular column on sustainable travel for the leading travel magazine Columbus and in November 2023 thegreenlist.nl was nominated for ‘Travel Journalist of the Year’.Â
