How does the deposit bulk machine work?
The Quantum bulk machine is designed to make deposit return super easy. And here's how it works:
- The machine is often outside in a place where you can easily park. So you don't have to drag full bags through the supermarket, just park next to the bulk machine.
- You throw your full bag of deposit bottles and cans - hup - into the bulk machine in one go. Do you have several bags? No problem, you can dump empty one after the other.
- Quantum reads the barcodes of the containers to check whether they fall under the deposit system. Bottles or cans without a deposit are automatically rejected and returned to the return tray.
- Is your bag empty? Use the touchscreen to indicate how you want to receive the deposit. You can choose to pay out directly via Tikkie by scanning the QR code with your app, or print a receipt to settle it with Tikkie later at home.
- Quantum can store up to twenty thousand cans or seven thousand small bottles. At busy locations, the bins are emptied more frequently to avoid long queues.
